Prisbelönt stadsbyggnadskoncept med galleria i Karlstad
Vårt prisbelönta projekt i Karlstad är ett exempel på att det går att göra köpcentrum och centrumanläggningar på ett långsiktigt och hållbart sätt. Här fanns en galleria som var utformad som de vanligen är – ett helt inåtvänt kvarter med slutna fasader mot gatulivet. Vi gjorde tvärtom.
Vi ansvarade för stadsbyggnadskonceptet, den yttre gestaltningen och för bostäder.
Vår idé med projektet var att det måste vara möjligt att gå utmed en fasad även på kvällstid. Fönster, fler entréer till både lokaler och bostäder och annat som ger ljus och liv är nödvändigt. Vi förde in bostäder ovanpå affärslokalerna. I dag är centrumet levande och det har alla förutsättningar att vara hållbart.
